Most of us have spent a major part of our lives thinking that the Sun is red, orange, yellow or an amalgamation of all three but fact is otherwise. The Sun is actually a green star or more particularly a blue green star, as its wavelength lies between blue and green in the colour spectrum. This might come as a surprise to many because when the human eye looks at the Sun, it appears yellowish white, orange-red, bright red and some other hues, depending on the time of the day or season. This happens because within the range of wavelengths, green gets mixed with other colours and the Sun appears yellow or red.

Colour Tips For December 2014
Perfect wall colour combinations can be quite a difficult task to achieve, and most prefer to give their house a new look every time they opt for wall painting. So, we thought of coming up with a different idea for your home décor. Instead of opting for the same old boring layering or tone on tone wall colours, we suggest you opt for a colour scheme, which flows from room to room. For this, you can choose colours which relate to each other in some way or the other. It is important that the colours are in sync with each other because the colour flow should not look out of place or shock a person while moving from one room to another. Some colours which perfectly complement each other in a flowing colour combination are stone blue and cloudy red, which work well with each other by balancing each other out.
As the winter sets in, most of us are going to spend more and more time indoors and this definitely calls for some changes in your interior decoration. If you're planning on spending most of your time indoors, you should work at making it a little glamorous and dramatic, and there is no colour better other than black for this purpose. Black can be an intimidating colour to use in interior décor if used extensively but when used sparsely, it lends a glam sophistication to your interiors. It works particularly well in dining rooms because black looks great in candlelight and will add a dazzling effect to your dining experience. Another way to incorporate it is to add black painted furniture to enhance your interior decoration scheme.
Yellow is a commonly used colour when wall painting an interior or exterior. It is one of those few colours that is not exclusive but imparts a vibe of decorative painting. Though abundantly used, we advise you not to take yellow for granted and keep a few points in mind when choosing your shade of yellow. The kind of yellow you choose should depend on the kind of vibe that you want for your room; if you want a lively or cheerful vibe in your room, then settle for a bright yellow without any traces of green at its base. On the other hand, if you want a hint of warmth and sophistication to be a part of your home décor, opt for a darker shade of mustard yellow for pretty walls.
