Step 1: First and foremost – The Berger Team will use a Moisture meter to investigate all areas of your home and locate areas with water-proofing requirements with the degree of moisture level present. Once identified, the problem walls will be cleaned thoroughly. All the dirt and debris will be removed using putty knife. Water will be applied and the surface will be left to dry. Next, the cracks will be filled with Crack Fill Paste, which is the ideal crack filler for home wall and a coat of Dampstop will be applied as a primer on the walls using a brush. Dampstop is single pack hi-performance polymer modified cement-based product. The mixing ratio of Dampstop: Water is 1:1. It will be left to dry for 4-6 hours.
Step 2: Next, two coats of Waterproof Putty will be applied using a putty knife. This waterproof putty for home is ideal as it is premium class, white cement based powder putty with some unique waterproofing properties. It will be left to dry for 4-6 hours.
Step 3: Seal-O-Prime will be applied next. Seal-O-Prime is a specially formulated premium quality acrylic primer for interior and exterior application. The mixing ratio of Seal-O-Prime: Water is 1:1. It will be left to dry for 4-6 hours. The last step will be finishing off with a top-coat of paint using a brush.
